2.How can I get a kitten from your cattery?
Due to Rhode Island state regulations, kittens are typically neutered or spayed at around 6 months of age. Because of this, our kittens are not delivered already altered.
However, if you purchase a kitten without breeding rights, there will be a clause in the contract requiring that the kitten be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age.
Once the procedure has been completed, you will be required to send us proof from your veterinarian. As soon as we receive the required documentation, we will send your kitten’s registration and pedigree to you by email or postal mail.
This is how we ensure the agreement is properly followed. For your peace of mind, this requirement will also be clearly stated in the contract and signed by us.
5.Do you allow visitors?
Since our cattery is located in our private home, we do not offer in-home visits. However, if you are interested in meeting an available kitten before placing a reservation, we can arrange to meet in a safe public location, such as the parking lot of the nearest Petco, so you can see the kitten in person and decide if they are the right fit for your family with no obligation.
We also offer video calls for families who would prefer a virtual meeting.
6. Do you offer delivery?
7.Why are Maine Coon kittens so expensive?
You can reserve a kitten directly through our website. If you have any questions before making a reservation, feel free to contact us via Instagram or WhatsApp,we will be happy to guide you through the entire process.
Reservation
Reservations require a $500 non-refundable deposit.
If the kitten is purchased with breeding rights, the deposit will be $1,000, and a contract will be sent the same day.
The remaining balance can be paid on the day you pick up your kitten.
If transportation is required (either by car or plane), the kitten must be paid in full at least one week prior to delivery. Delivery costs vary depending on your location.
3.When do kittens go home?
Our kittens go to their new families when they are between 9 and 11 weeks of age. Before going home, they receive their first vaccinations and a general health checkup by our veterinarian. It is very important to us to ensure that each kitten is healthy, well-socialized, and ready for their new home.
4. Are the kittens delivered neutered/spayed?
Yes, we can assist with delivery by car or by flying in-cabin with our kittens to cities across the country.
Car delivery to New York or New Jersey: $450
Please message us for pricing to other states.
For VIP Flight Nanny Delivery to your nearest airport, the cost ranges from $700 to $1,200. This includes our flight ticket, the kitten’s ticket, pet carrier, hotel, and all associated travel expenses. Please note that delivery costs may vary due to airline pricing.
You may also choose to hire your own pet nanny; however, Paw Palace is not responsible for any issues that may arise with third-party services once the kitten has been picked up.
You are also welcome to pick up your kitten in person. We are located in Providence.
8.How big do Maine Coons get?
Maine Coon kittens can be expensive when bred responsibly. The price reflects the significant investment in high-quality breeding parents, imported bloodlines, proper care, and ethical breeding practices.
When purchasing from a responsible breeder, you can typically expect prices to range from $2,500 to $4,000, depending on the kitten’s quality, features, and lineage.
Please note that this price does not include breeding rights, which are offered separately.
Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, with males typically weighing between 16 and 25 pounds, and females between 10 and 17 pounds.
Some of our Maine Coons may even exceed these ranges, with certain lines reaching up to 28 pounds when fully developed.
They are known for their muscular build, tufted ears, long bushy tails, and majestic overall appearance.
Because of their large size, Maine Coons thrive best in homes where they have plenty of space to play, explore, and grow comfortably.
9. What do you feed your Maine Coons?
We feed our Maine Coons a selection of high-quality premium foods to support their health, growth, and overall well-being.
Our top three premium brands are Hill’s, Orijen, and Royal Canin. We use all three and rotate them regularly to provide variety in flavor and texture, so our cats do not get bored with the same food all the time.
This helps us maintain a balanced diet while also keeping mealtime enjoyable for both our kittens and adult cats.
10.Will a Maine Coon get along well with my other pets?
Every animal is different, but Maine Coons are generally known for their gentle, easygoing, and social personalities.
Of course, any new pet,or even a new baby, should always be introduced slowly and responsibly. During the adjustment period, your Maine Coon may need a little time to adapt, but they usually settle in very well.
Most Maine Coons truly enjoy companionship, and many do wonderfully with other cats, dogs, and even other household pets when introduced properly.
In fact, many families quickly discover that one Maine Coon is never enough, and before long, they have a whole little furry family living happily together.
11.What is a Polydactyl Maine Coon?
A Polydactyl Maine Coon is the same beautiful Maine Coon breed, but with a natural genetic trait that causes them to have extra toes on their paws. This often gives their feet a unique “mitten-like” appearance, which many cat lovers find especially charming.
This trait is inherited and dominant, and it was actually quite common in the early history of the Maine Coon breed. It is believed that the extra toes may have helped them with balance, climbing, and walking through snow.
Today, Polydactyl Maine Coons are less common, which makes them especially unique and highly desired by many families and breeders.
They are recognized by organizations such as The International Cat Association (TICA) as a healthy and legitimate variation of the Maine Coon breed.

A replacement kitten will only be provided if the necropsy results clearly confirm that the cause of death was due to a genetic or hereditary condition.
No replacement will be issued without written veterinary confirmation and official necropsy results.
If approved, the replacement kitten will be offered when one becomes available, and it will be of similar quality, value, and characteristics whenever possible.
Please note that we do not offer monetary refunds under any circumstances.
